Mitchell Kaneff and Howard Kaneff: Father and Son Honored as Recipients of the Charles Evans Award

The Charles Evans Award was presented by the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation to Howard and Mitchell Kaneff on October 27th, 2021 for their leadership in support of the prevention, treatment, and cure of Alzheimer’s disease. When Mitchell spoke, he noted how incredibly honored and humbled he and his father were to accept the award, adding that, as an ADDF board member and someone who had lost a loved one to Alzheimer’s, he was grateful to be part of an organization playing such a key role in driving progress in new diagnostic tools and therapies.

Mitchell’s mother, Cherry Kaneff, passed away from Alzheimer’s in 2018 and Mitchell’s father, who was married to Cherry for sixty years, continues to miss his beloved wife every day.

Over $1.2 million in donations was raised for this event.

Music Cures
In their 1st annual Music Cures fund raiser for the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation, The Kaneff Foundation – hosted by Mitchell Kaneff and The Young Presidents band – raised over $140,000 at their Cutting Room benefit. The Kaneff Foundation thanks the generosity of the many donors, as well as those who gave so much of their time to this worthy cause.
